Peace Project
Technology has opened up an uncharted world of information and possibility. It has given us an up-close view of much of what is happening in the world and helped us create communities to address the problems we face today. As the technology evolves at an ever-increasing rate, the future of its capability is truly unknown and only held back by our own ideas of what is possible.
Across the globe, innovators and system busters have challenged the status quo and developed tools and devised solutions proven to help our brothers and sisters across the globe in need. There are countless examples of such people, only a video or individual website is not enough. The main issue is that there is no one central place for the management of this information. Our challenge in this is not an overwhelming one; it is that we have a completely disorganized system. Currently, the ‘heart’ of the web is lacking a simple project management plan.
The portion of the web inclusive of non-profits, NGOs and any individual, group, or organization moving toward global peace or social responsibility needs to be able to come together, to work together, and achieve together.
It is time to devise a network for the masses so we can work in cooperation from the bottom up. We must develop a worldwide collective resource for Education, Collaboration, and Innovation.
With current software for collaboration, open source programs, peer-to-peer service potential, emerging technologies, and the dedication of a small, talented group of people, an online network free to all for the purpose of providing education, sharing proven solutions, collaborating ideas, and celebrating innovation is possible TODAY.
A system like this would provide: access to education and alternative teaching methods proven effective; video conferencing for collaboration of ideas, concepts, or resources; products which are eco-minded, cost-effective, and functional for specific areas of need; communication and resource collaboration amongst similar interests; online sharing of innovation and celebration of empowerment verses aid.
The mission is to create our world peacefully and respectfully from the bottom up as the masses take responsibility instead of waiting for our current systems or governments to save us and fix our problems. We will connect the masses, give them a platform to work cohesively, incentives to act responsibly, and a vehicle to effect change.
It is about creating equal access, equal opportunity, and fair systems, trade, and treatment of ALL regardless of sex, color, creed, or economic status. It is a place to realize the desires, hopes, and dreams of everyone.
This type of system is more than just an idea; it is a clear vision. What is missing are the resources to achieve it. Nothing is impossible and this would certainly change the future for us collectively in creating a peaceful and empowered group of citizens in our global society.
